About Us
Co-sponsored by the Association of University Summer Sessions (AUSS) and the North American Association of Summer Sessions (NAASS), SummerStudyinUSA.org is a collaboration among over 100 North American colleges and universities that offer short-term summer programs for a wide range of learners, including pre-college, undergraduate, and graduate students. Our tool allows users to conduct a detailed search of summer programs by grade level, program length, academic area, program type, and more.
AUSS and NAASS
The North American Association of Summer Sessions (NAASS) is a non-profit association of higher education administrators throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico who lead or work closely with summer and special sessions. NAASS’ purpose is to develop and promote summer and other special sessions, programs, and initiatives in higher education. NAASS’s mission is to identify emerging trends, promotes best practices, and facilitate the exchange of information among leaders in higher education in order to continually increase academic quality, student services, and fiscal success of summer and special sessions. Since its founding in 1917, the Association of University Summer Sessions (AUSS) has served as a forum for discussing the theoretical and practical issues of summer session. The by-invitation institutional membership of 50 universities balances regional representation; private and public; and large and small institutions. Unifying the member institutions is a centralized summer session administration and a research focus. Mission Statement
This site was designed to help students, parents, counselors, advisors, and other education professionals to find the perfect short-term summer program quickly and easily from among those offered by over 100 AUSS and NAASS member institutions.
The program information available for search on this website is collected annually from the participating members of the Association of University Summer Sessions (AUSS) and the North American Association of Summer Sessions (NAASS), the two primary professional organizations for colleges and universities in North America that offer summer academic programs.
Unlike other search sites, which are collated by third parties and often only display information about institutions that pay for advertisement, the program information that appears on the SummerStudyinUSA.org site comes directly from the colleges and universities themselves, and provides the most up-to-date and accurate information you can find anywhere.
